      AXA in the Community

      AXA UK’s aim is to be a good neighbour in the communities in which we operate and our UK businesses work with communities to address specific local needs which are beneficial to the community and provide our people with personal development opportunities.

      AXA Hearts in Action is AXA’s global community partnership programme which provides volunteer and charity fundraising opportunities for employees and is designed to build links between our business, our people and our local communities. It acts as a guideline for community involvement but allows local offices to develop programmes that are suitable for their employees and local community needs.

      Employee fundraising and donations

      In addition to a multitude of local and employee-specific fundraising efforts, we support national and international campaigns with employee fundraising and in-kind donations. Some recent examples;

      • 115,259 Euros donated to help combat the Ebola crisis (to CARE International and Médecins Sans Frontières). This was raised by AXA employee donations across the globe and matched by the company.
      • 421,000 Euros donated  to the Disaster Emergency Committee for the aid response to the Hayian typhoon (also an employee donation scheme, with matched funding from AXA)
      • In 2016 our employee volunteers collected over £90,000 in donations, in 2596 calls, across 100 lines.
