Helping you to live well and remain independent

Peace of mind for you and your family

When you are used to being in control, it’s only natural to worry about who to turn to when you need a little re-assurance and support to remain independent.

It doesn't matter whether you live alone or with a partner, most of us will at some point need a helping hand. Our families might not always be around to help or they may be busy balancing their own lives. You may have friends or family who are concerned about your wellbeing or worry about what would happen if you suffered a medical emergency or fall.

PPP Taking Care can provide the services and support you need to feel confident and secure in the home you love. Ranging from 24/7 assistance and advice if you have an accident or you’re taken ill, to help with the unexpected, we’re here whenever you need us.

How PPP Taking Care can help

Our personal alarm service helps you remain independent and ensures your home remains a haven. You can quickly get help 24 hours a day at the touch of a button.

You can add our medical helplines to your personal alarm service for expert support and information from qualified nurses and trained pharmacists. A range of sensors are available to enhance your service and provide additional support and peace of mind.

We offer practical and emotional support after returning home from hospital too - with the first 6 weeks free of charge. Our Home & Well service ensures you're cared for and remain as independent as possible whilst you recover, and in the future. *

24/7 Personal Alarm Service

The personal alarm can be worn as a discreet pendant or wristband. When the alarm button on the pendant is pressed, the response team will know who you are and will try to speak to you over the alarm unit’s speaker.

Even if you cannot speak, we will know where you are calling from so we can direct support to you very quickly.

If required, we will contact your keyholders, who may be family members or a neighbour, or the emergency services on your behalf.

98.5% of alarm calls are answered within 60 seconds so you can be confident you will receive the support you need.**

Dion's story: Help was just the touch of a button away

“Everything about PPP Taking Care’s service has exceeded my expectations,” says Dion Austin, whose mother, Joan, was rescued by the personal alarm service earlier this year.

“It all started at 6am on a Saturday morning,” explains Dion. “My phone rang, and a calm lady at PPP Taking Care informed me that she had spoken to Mum, who had fallen over and couldn’t get up. She’d already called an ambulance for her.”

"It was such a relief that Mum’s alarm had connected her with someone who could help. Without it, I don’t know what she’d have done.” Read more of Dion’s experiences of PPP Taking Care’s personal alarm service here.
