It’s a good idea to make an appointment with your GP if you have pain or symptoms of infection, such as swelling, redness or warmth in your breast, a fever or any other changes noticed, such as new lumps or thickening to the tissues, discharge from your nipple, rash on or around your nipple or dimpling of the skin on your breast.
Your GP will examine your breasts and ask about your symptoms to try and determine what’s causing these red marks. If the cause if not known the GP may refer you for further tests if appropriate.
