Support for muscles, bones and joints

Working Body

Problems with muscles, bones and joints have a habit of getting worse if they’re not treated. With Working Body, your clients can talk to a physiotherapist over the phone without a GP referral. They’ll assess the symptoms, talk about what they could mean, and help plan what to do next. Working Body is available when your clients take out business healthcare cover with AXA PPP healthcare.

Keep your team fit, well and working

In 2016, 30.8 million working days were lost to bone, joint or muscle conditions. That’s one day for every employee in the UK¹. If your client wakes up with a bad back for example, trying to get through a day at work can be tough. It could also lead to more problems and absences down the line.

Our musculoskeletal pathway has been rigorously and clinically tested, delivering better health for your clients.

How it works

Advice that fits in with busy lives

Your clients won’t have to take time out for a GP appointment. Whether it’s during a lunch break or after the school run, one call to our Working Body team could help them get moving again.

No need to work through pain

As soon as there is a twinge, your clients can call us and speak to our Working Body team. A qualified physiotherapist will call them back to talk through the symptoms and discuss possible treatment.

Hassle-free access to treatment

If the physiotherapist recommends specific exercises, they’ll guide your clients through them so they can try them at home – or even at work – and explain how to stop the pain from returning. If follow-on treatment is needed, they’ll recommend next steps.

No need to see a GP for a referral

If your client needs physiotherapy, another hands-on therapy like osteopathy, diagnostic tests or a specialist consultation, they won’t need a GP for a referral (subject to appropriate cover). Our in-house team will find them the right expert quickly, and even get them an appointment with a specialist if needed.
