What’s included as standard?

We provide a wide range of benefits so your small business clients can help look  after their people. They'll feel taken care of, supported and reassured that they can get help when they need it most. Whether they choose one option or several, these benefits are included;

  • Unlimited access to our Doctor@Hand online GP service. Subject to their fair usage policy.
  • Cancer and heart care and support from our telephone nursing team.
  • Physiotherapy consultations by phone with no need for a GP referral. Service available to members over the age of 18.
  • Wellbeing incentives such as gym membership to keep your clients and their employees fit and healthy.
  • Answers online, and on the end of the line, provided by our online health centres and telephone health information service Health at Hand.
  • Access to Proactive Health Gateway - a health and wellbeing platform tailored to you and what you want to achieve.

Cover options

With Business Health, you build your client's plan around the benefits that are right for their business and their budget. So there’s no paying for cover they don’t want*.  Below is a summary of our cover.

* Plans covering just 1 or 2 people must include either the Treatment or Diagnostics Only option.

This option provides cover for in-patient and day-patient hospital procedures, operations, plus when you have Comprehensive Cancer Cover, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are included.  Not having to wait for NHS treatment could make all the difference in getting your client’s team back on their feet and back to work.

Diagnostic icon

Waiting for a health condition to be diagnosed can be a worrying time, especially if you’ve got a long wait time to see a specialist. This option fast-tracks the process of finding out what’s wrong if your client or one of their employees becomes unwell.

Outpatients icon

If a GP advises that your client’s employee needs to see a specialist about a health concern, our Fast Track Appointments service is on-hand to arrange appointments quickly and located close to home or work. Your clients can choose from Standard, Enhanced or Full out-patient cover, depending on the level of benefits they want to offer.

Therapies icon
Therapies option

Take care of that injury, whether it happened during the office move or a weekend jog. This option covers fees for out-patient treatment by a physiotherapist.

Mental Health option

Your clients can look after more than just physical health with cover for mental health issues too. This option includes psychiatric treatment by psychologists and cognitive behavioural therapists when referred by a specialist.

Extended Cover option

With this option your clients will have a wider choice of hospitals and specialists to choose from. They can also have extra cover for planned or pre-approved treatment outside the UK.

Private GP

With the Private GP option, it’s easy for your clients to see a GP in person, promptly, and at a time that’s convenient for them and the business.

Travel icon
Travel Cover option

If your client has employees that travel for business or pleasure, this option will cover them for emergency medical treatment should they need it. It also includes a range of travel-related benefits.

Resilience stress management
Employee Assistance Programmes

When members of the team are going through difficult times, such as divorce or money problems, they may find it hard to concentrate on work. EAP gives them a professionally trained expert to talk to, so they get problems off their chest and are supported through it.

Dentist and Optician Cashback option

Your client can help their employees look after their teeth and eyesight with cashback towards dentists’ fees, glasses/contact lenses and eye tests.

Ways to lower the costs

Here are some other ways your clients can look after their employees while still keeping an eye on their bottom line.

  • Pay up-front
    Your client can save 5% by paying the subscription yearly instead of monthly.
  • Guided option
    Pay less for using specialists that we've sourced. Our Fast Track Appointments team will recommend up to three specialists and book an appointment to suit.
  • Select the six-week option
    Your client can save up to 20% and still get their people back to work quickly. Their employees will be treated on the NHS unless they need to wait more than six weeks from when in-patient treatment, day-patient treatment or surgery should take place.
  • Fix the subscription for two years
    Your client will know exactly how much they’ll be investing in each employee over the next two years. Please note that tax changes would still apply.
  • Choose an excess
    Your client can reduce the annual subscription with an excess from £50-£750.

Plan costs are representative as of October 2019, and prices will vary depending on location, cover options, and ages. Pricing is bassed on a group of 6, aged 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50, living in Milton Keynes, paying yearly to receive a 5% discount, with an excess of £100 and a two-year minimum.

*Plans covering just 1-2 employees must include either a Treatment or Diagnostics option, Stronger Minds, our mental health phone support is available to members aged 18 or over.

Member Online is a quick, convenient and secure way for members to access useful information, such as policy documents and how to make a claim, at the touch of a button.

It's really important that you do not register your details on Member Online on your clients' behalf, even if you think you have their permission.
