Our Core Cover

Personal Health, our private health insurance plan, covers treatment for a wide range of conditions as well as the cost of surgery, specialists’ fees and drugs,  if your clients' need to spend time in hospital.

With our heart and cancer cover and care, they'll be covered for radiotherapy and chemotherapy and have a dedicated team of cancer nurses to support them. They can talk to us any time, day or night, so they’ll never have to find their way on their own.

By encouraging your clients to make a list of their priorities, you can help them choose the right plan for their needs. If there’s something they want to cover, it’s always worth asking us.

We cover more than just the basics

Consult with a GP through a smartphone or laptop

With Doctor@Hand, your clients can speak to an online private GP by video or phone, from anywhere in the world, day or night. They’ll have 20-minute appointments which can be fitted in around work and home commitments. Doctor@Hand is available as part of our extended cover option in Personal Health.

Talk to a Working Body physiotherapist over the phone without a GP referral

They’ll assess your clients' symptoms and talk to them about what they could mean. If they think exercise could ease the pain, they’ll recommend some they  can try at home. And if they need further treatment, they’ll help your clients plan what to do next.

Use Fast Track Appointments to see a consultant quickly

With an open referral from a GP your clients will be given a choice of three doctors with the right specialism to treat them. And with our private medical insurance they’ll only ever be a consultant – never a junior doctor or registrar. On average, members who use our Fast Track service are seen twice as quickly*

*Compared with members whose GPs have referred them to a named private specialist (2017 Fast Track Appointments service data, recorded from the date the member called our personal advisory team)

Counselling
Get a second opinion

If your client's consultant has recommended an operation or treatment and they’re not sure about it, we’ll arrange for them to see another specialist who can confirm what the doctor has told them, or suggest a different course of action. It's up to them to decide what to do next. This service is available if our Out-patient option is chosen.

Medical assistance
Ask us about health, anytime

Checking medication with a pharmacist. Discussing treatment options with a nurse. Talking to a counsellor about how you’re feeling. Speaking to a midwife about your pregnancy. Your client's private medical insurance is here to put their mind at ease, so they don’t worry for a minute longer than they have to.

Cancer
Support through a serious illness

We’ve got a team of nurses who specialise in caring for those living with cancer and heart disease. Every one of them knows what a diagnosis like this means, so your clients' will never have to find their way on their own.

Managing the costs

We offer a wide range of cost-controlling options including a choice of excess levels, the opportunity to pay up front, a 'six week option' allowing your clients to have treatment on the NHS if it's avaliable quickly and a protected no claims discount. Full details of all the options avaliable are explained within the sales brochure.

Another way we can help your clients is with our Guided Option. With this, your clients will be agreeing to use our Fast Track Appointment Service every time they need to see a specialist.


Member Online

Member Online is a quick, convenient and secure way for members to access useful information, such as policy documents and how to make a claim, at the touch of a button.

It's really important that you do not register your details on Member Online on your clients' behalf, even if you think you have their permission.
