The Answer

We are sorry to hear that you are feeling suicidal.

Suicidal feelings are surprisingly common. If you are in a severe crisis, please attend your nearest Accident and Emergency Department for assistance.

Otherwise, please contact the trained personnel at the Samaritans. The Samaritans have a great deal of experience of helping people who are feeling suicidal.

If you feel that you can manage your suicidal feelings at the moment and are not in any imminent danger to yourself or others then please make an urgent appointment to see your general practitioner to discuss your suicidal feelings and anxiety.

It is also important to speak to your close family or friends at this difficult time, to let them know how you feel.

We hope that this information has helped.
