Sleep pattern problems
Since starting the caffeine challenge my sleep pattern has completely changed. I go to sleep easy but constantly wake up between midnight and 4 in the morning. Why is this?
Caffeine is a well- known and documented stimulant and can prevent and interrupt sleep patterns. If you have stopped using caffeine completely, your body would have cleared this in under 24 hours and should not be affecting you. If the challenge was related to panic/anxiety issue then this may be causing your interrupted sleep pattern. If caffeine has been stopped completely then we would suggest following up with your GP if your sleep pattern remains disturbed.
