Pregnancy following 3 miscarriages.
Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and still nothing.
I have already had 3 miscarriages in a row and will be going to get my HSG test done. What may be the cause of my miscarriages, even though i've been seen by my gynaecologist I still have not got an answer.
The loss of 3 or more consecutive pregnancies is called Recurrent Miscarriage. There are some tests that can be performed to look for a reason.
A uterus scan will look at the shape of the uterus and for fibroids. A blood test can look for evidence of Antiphospholipid syndrome. This is a cause of recurrent miscarriage that can be treated with medication.
You may have polycystic ovarian syndrome or poorly controlled diabetes, both of which can lead to miscarriages. There is often no underlying reason found. Your doctor may have checked for these conditions already. You need to ask your doctor for an explanation of the results, and what steps are needed next to help you have a successful pregnancy. Good luck.
