Pain in shoulders and back

Hi there, I spend quite a lot of time at my PC editing photographs. Just recently I have had pains in my rabbit bone and shoulders. I have had a previous back injury where I slipped discs L3, 4 and 5.

The answer

Neck and shoulder pain are becoming increasingly common with those who spend a lot of time working on computers or who spend a lot of time on their mobile phone. This is mainly due to the position you are sitting in while you are working. It is unlikely this is related to your previous back injury. We would suggest seeing your GP for a definitive diagnosis and possible referral to physiotherapy as this may help with improving your posture and reducing the pain.
