Lymp gland surgery

I have had surgery to remove a tumour on the base of my tongue (by laser) and to remove a swollen lymp gland in my neck. It appears depending on the results of the surgery (HPV)I will need radiotherapy after for 5 to 6 weeks and been asked if I want to be part of the PATHOS phase 11/111 trial. Do you have any advice. The trial is being lead by Prof T Jones at Aintree University Hospital

The answer

Unfortunately we are unable to advise whether someone should participate in any trial as this is the individual’s choice. We would suggest that you speak to your specialist and get all your options before making your decision – this link is related to this trial.
