Stomach cramps and diarrhoea

Tags: diarrhoea

For the past 2 months, it seems that I am having a lot of stomach cramps and diarrhoea. It seems to be on and off every two to three weeks. I can't seem to get an appointment at the GP because the appointment times never suit. I was just wondering what this might be?

The answer

The symptoms you describe can be attributed to many different things. Any changes to the bowels that continue for any period of time should be investigated by your GP. I do understand that it may be difficult for you to get an appointment. If you explain it’s a problem that has been going on for some time and that you need a planned appointment they do have to offer one. In the meantime keep a diary of what you eat, to see if there is any connection between your diet and the tummy problems. Your GP may ask you to do this so worth getting a head start. I hope this helps.
