Why do I get regular swelling of ankles for no apparent reason

Do you need to see a GP quickly?

Would you like to speak with a doctor by video or phone at a time that suits you?

Our Doctor@Hand service, delivered by Doctor Care Anywhere, offers a doctor appointment by video or phone at a time that suits you.

The answer

There are many reasons for swollen ankles; it could be related to the heat for example. However if this problem is prolonged you should get an assessment from your GP. He knows your past medical history and has a list of your medications, all of these things many be pertinent in diagnosing your problem. In the meantime you might consider using a cream such as E45 to keep the skin supple and hydrated.

I hope this helps.
