My amylase count is 118.
Should an amylase count of 118 be a cause for concern?
In terms of some laboratory reference ranges an amylase level of 118 would be considered to be normal. However value ranges vary according to the laboratory and reference values used by them, so in the first instance you will need to find out the reference ranges for the test you had performed. Your surgery will be able to give you these.
Other factors such as country of origin/ethnicity will also affect the level so all these factors have to be taken into account before determining whether a level is normal.
