As my records show I have a long history of skin problems and at my latest dermatology review it was suggested that I try the following product: AVEENO NOURISH+ DANDRUFF CONTROL 2 IN 1 SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER.
From online search it seems that no AVEENO shampoo is marketed in the UK: it does not even show on their own UK web site. It can be bought through Amazon but presumably is imported. Is there a medical reason for this, i.e. is it not advised by UK health authorities?
If the product is not available to buy in the UK it seems strange that your Dermatologist would recommend it.
I would suggest you go back to the Consultant Dermatologist and ask where they suggest you get it from and what the alternatives are. It may be possible to use the Aveeno emollient as shampoo instead. Aveeno is a well-known brand in the UK, so there would be no particular medical reason why the shampoo is not allowed. I am not aware of one anyway.
The most likely explanation is that the company have not yet marketed that particular product in the UK yet. You could also contact the company directly to find out why it is not currently available in the UK and if it is likely to be available in the near future.
