I am bloated all the time, from the moment I wake up till I sleep, I don't know how to stop it! I have had an eating disorder in the past so I don't know if that contributes to it.
There can be many causes for bloating this can be from eating too fast causing you to gulp air when you eat, dietary causes, the most common causes being beans, pulses, broccoli, cabbage, prunes, apples, and foods containing the sugar substitute sorbitol, this is because they are slow to digest and cause gas build up.
The cause can also be food intolerances such as lactose in milk or wheat (coeliac’s), it can also be caused by irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and even endometriosis.
The history of an eating disorder may have no relation to this. I would suggest you see your GP to identify possible causes as this may be a case of ruling things out to get to a diagnosis, I also suggest keeping a food diary and listing any symptoms to see if there is a relation to what you eat.
