Kelly asked...

My acne is aggravated by eating sugar or dairy...but my blood glucose level is quite low. Why is my acne still affected by my low sugar intake? Am I allergic to sugar?

The Answer

Your acne may be aggravated by certain things in your diet; however you may have outbreaks whatever you eat.

Some acne outbreaks are caused by hormonal changes or even stress. At times medication may be necessary to help clear an outbreak and to keep reoccurrence under control.

Speak with your GP about your worries and what options you have for treatment. We wish you well and are always here to answer your concerns.
