The Answer

People suffering of acid reflux have to avoid certain foods and drinks that increase the symptoms such as heartburn. Coffee, soda, iced tea, citrus juices, chocolate, spicy food as well alcohol are the on the ‘’avoid’’ or ‘’don’t’’ list.

Coca Cola, regardless if there is diet or not, can stimulate the increase of the acidity as it contains caffeine and it is also a carbonated drink. On the other hand, herbal teas are a good choice for acid reflux because they can help improve digestion.

The caffeine-free herbal tea, except those with spearmint and peppermint, should be well tolerated. Ginger is considered to be one of the most effective natural treatments for heartburn. For maximum result, some people consume this before a meal.
