What is the cost of a knee replacement?

What is the approximate cost of a full knee replacement on one knee?

4 November 2013

The cost of any private appointment or operation varies depending on the consultant surgeon and hospital that you choose (because they all have different prices). You would need to have an initial consultation to meet the surgeon and review your case. You would then need an anaesthetic assessment to check you are fit enough for the operation. Providing that your case is straightforward (and you do not require any other tests or input from other specialists) the actual operation would cost around £10,000 to £12,000.
