I presume you are suffering from severe arthritis and are now considering having a total knee replacement because a steroid injection has not helped the pain. This will be a common situation for many arthritis sufferers because both treatments are commonly used for this condition. If you are considering a knee replacement in the future make sure you ask before you are given any further steroid injections that may delay surgery.
