Disorders

Are you concerned that your behaviour is different from others? There is help if you ask for it.

Will and his family all recognised his obsessive compulsive 'preoccupations' when he was growing up, but he said it wasn't really a problem for him, describing OCD as a 'private disorder.' However years later he "plucked up the courage" to seek help and understand how OCD was impacting his life.

For Laura, it took an intervention from concerned family and friends for her to address the eating disorder, anorexia, that had taken over her life.

Both found Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) helped them take control of their lives.
