Where can I have a PTH blood test done as my own doctors say they don't do them. I have an underactive thyroid which I take thyroxine for but are experiencing problems which possibly might be caused by the parathyroid. Is it possible to have this test done privately??

The answer

There are a few companies where you can self -pay for blood tests. Medichecks is one. What Clinic is another option. If you are looking to find out if your policy will cover this blood test you will have to talk to your claims team during office hours to discuss this. Hopefully this will help you,
