The last few days I've been having headaches when I sleep or after I shower. I checked my blood pressure and it was 104 over 75. On the basis that my headaches would appear to be caused by low blood pressure is there anything I can do about it?
We are sorry to hear you have been suffering with headaches and that you feel this may be related to having low blood pressure, also known as hypotension.
The symptoms of hypotension can be experienced as becoming unsteady on your feet, feeling dizzy and in some cases fainting, having blurred vision, feeling nauseous, becoming confused and generally weak.
Headaches are not commonly associated with low blood pressure and also not commonly experienced with waking in the morning or following a shower.
For this reason we would strongly urge you to seek medical advice from your GP to discuss the situation in more detail and ascertain whether low blood pressure is the cause of your headaches. Having a blood pressure of 104/75 would not necessarily be considered low and as such you should really seek advice from your GP to check your blood pressure and investigate the route cause of your headaches.
We do hope you are feeling better very soon.
