Máire asked...

Best treatment for neuroma on my knee?

I have been told I have a neuroma on my knee almost 8 months post TKR. What is the best treatment for this or will the pain from this decrease with time?

The answer

It is a long healing process with this type of injury unfortunately; however at 8 months post TKR you should be making some headway. You do not mention if you have had physio therapy to assist with mobility? It may be of some help to ask for some further sessions. You may need to see the specialist again to establish whether they feel it is improving and to discuss your situation further.
