Weight Friendly Prawn Courgette ‘Pasta’

This recipe is perfect for those trying to lose weight and is delicious. By swapping pasta for courgette, you can save yourself a heap of calories and you won't end up feeling bloated either.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 courgette
  • 175g raw prawns
  • 50g sweetcorn
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed)
  • 1 chili (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp. chopped basil


Using a spiralizer or potato peeler cut the courgette into thin strips to resemble pasta and set aside. In a pan heat the oil and cook the prawns with garlic, chopped chili and basil. Boil courgette strips, as you would pasta, and add sweetcorn (this will only take 1-2minutes to cook). Once cooked, add the lime juice to the prawn mix and toss with the cooked courgette ‘pasta’.
