Bircher muesli

This recipe is high in fibre and contains HDL “good cholesterol” boosting seeds.

Bircher muesli

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 50g dried fruit (cranberries and goji berries are great choices)
  • 200ml milk (skimmed or almond)
  • 1 apple
  • 50g Greek yogurt


This recipe requires an overnight soak, perfect to make before you go to sleep and easy to take to work.

Simply soak the seeds and dried berries in the milk overnight. Cover or store in an airtight container in the fridge. In the morning top with grated or sliced apple and yogurt.
