What can be done about capsular contracture?

What can be done about capsular contracture? I had a mastectomy a year ago followed by reconstruction using an implant.

Capsular contracture is the name for the scar tissue that forms around a breast implant. There are different grades of contraction depending on the severity. If there is no pain and the breast looks and feels normal, then no treatment is needed. If you are experiencing pain or you are unhappy about the way the breast looks or feels, then unfortunately the only treatment available is further surgery.
