Workplace Wellbeing – National Fitness Day and Beyond

Event

26 September 2018

Health and wellbeing strategies are no longer a luxury. Statistics show that we all need a nudge in the right direction with around 20 million adults in the UK failing to achieve recommended levels of physical activity.

National Fitness Day is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK. We launched Flying Start to help us raise awareness amongst businesses of the benefits physical activity can bring to the workplace. It’s a campaign that encourages employers to give their employees an hour’s later start at work or an hour during the day to take some form of physical activity, and this year over 300 organisations stepped up to the challenge.

To celebrate the most active day of the year, we were joined by Kate Dale from Sport England and Dane Krambergar from Mind at our lunchtime event. They shared why an active workforce is good for businesses and how physical and mental health are inextricably linked – download the full write-up here. (link to pdf attached)
