      How many employees can I cover?

      We cover sole traders, and groups of 2 up to 249.

      Do I have to be a certain type of company to get a quote?

      We consider all industry types. Whether you’re in the automotive, retail or finance industry, we offer plans that cater for you.

      What information do I need to get a quote?

      We just need to know the age or date of birth of the employees that you want to cover to do a quote. You can get a business health cover quote online or call us on 0800 389 7413.

      Lines are open Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm. We may record and/or monitor calls for quality assurance, training and as a record of our conversation.

      How do I pay for a business healthcare plan?

      For a business plan you need to be a registered company or be able to pay through a business bank account. You can pay monthly or annually (pay annually and save 5% on your subscription).

      I already have a business healthcare plan, how do I switch to AXA PPP healthcare?

      You can switch as soon as you get your renewal documents from your current healthcare provider (usually around 2-4 weeks before your plan is due to renew). If you’ve already renewed with another provider there will be a 14-day cooling off period, so you can still move within this time.

      Can I add new employees to my group plan?

      You can add new employees to the group plan at any time.

      What if an employee leaves?

      If an employee leaves your business you'll need to let us know by calling the small business team and we'll remove them from the plan.

      I already have personal healthcare, why switch to a business healthcare plan?

      Sometimes business cover is cheaper than personal cover - even if you only have one employee on the plan. If you're set up as a business you can speak to our small business experts on 0800 389 7413.

      Who can I contact with questions about my plan?

      Members will need to contact their group secretary; a designated member of the team who handles the administration of the plans with us. They will pass questions onto our small business team.

      Can I cover family members?

      Members can add their family onto the plan at any time and will receive business rates. They’ll need to contact their group secretary to do this.

      Where is my nearest hospital?

      We have a large network of hospitals across the UK (about 250 hospitals and 400 scanning centres). You can find these on our hospital search directory.

      Am I covered for accidents and emergencies?

      Anyone that needs to be treated for an accident or emergency should go to an NHS hospital as soon as possible. Although we wouldn’t cover immediate treatment, we’d cover follow-up treatment such as physiotherapy, subject to the cover you have chosen.

      Am I covered for pre-existing conditions?

      There’s a choice of four options for how we handle pre-existing conditions and this choice affects how we underwrite the plan and work out your subscription.       I have a chronic condition, is this covered by the plan?

      Like most providers AXA PPP healthcare will be unable to cover the treatment and routine monitoring of chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis and asthma (these exclusions may not apply to cancer). However we can still offer you a private healthcare plan and cover you for new eligible conditions from the date you join. Also, if your chronic condition suddenly gets much worse or flares up, your plan will pay for treatment to bring the chronic condition back to its controlled state, subject to the cover you choose.
