The answer

I presume you are having difficulty conceiving and have had some tests for infertility. There are a few different reasons why the sperm ducts can be blocked leading to infertility. It can be present from birth or in some cases, caused by infection or scar tissue. Sometimes blockages can be rectified by an operation, but not always. If the blockage or damage to the ducts is too extensive then infertility has to be treated by using a technique to retrieve sperm from the testicles and then IVF. Your specialist will be able to tell you what treatment is suitable for your particular condition.
