I was wondering when I could finally stop panicking about whether or not to believe a test. Two months ago my boyfriend fingered me and there was the slightest chance that he may have had precum on his fingers, we never even had sex. I am worried could I be pregnant?

The answer

A negative pregnancy test seven weeks after an incident of sexual contact is almost certainly proof that you are not pregnant. That combined with the fact that you have also had a heavy period since that sexual contact, means you can be rest assured that you are not pregnant! In some cases women do bleed during pregnancy, but a pregnancy test would also show a positive result.
