Watercress SmoothieWatercress has a very high water content (hence the name), it is almost 95 per cent water and packed full of important vitamins and minerals including calcium, magnesium, folate and vitamins A and C. This watercress smoothie makes a refreshing change for people who prefer savoury rather than sweet drinks. You can make it as spicy as you wish with just a few drops of Tabasco!

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 (85g) bag watercress
  • 150ml fresh orange juice
  • 100ml carrot juice
  • 100ml tomato juice
  • dash of Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • grind of ground black pepper
  • celery stick to garnish


Place all the ingredients in a blender and whiz together, adjust pepper and Tabasco (if using) to taste. Stir with the celery stick.
