Is it better to walk before eating or after? If I only have time for one, which one should I do?
For your health’s sake, actually going for that walk is the most important thing. At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise such as walking, on 5 or more days a week, can help your heart and bone health as well as help manage weight, blood sugar levels, mood and stress. As walking isn’t an intense exercise, whether you eat before or after depends on what best suits your schedule on the day. If you haven’t eaten for say, a good 4 hours and are likely to get hungry or tired then a light meal or snack about 30 minutes (to avoid indigestion) before you walk will stop you wilting. But if you feel fine, and it suits your time planning better, then eat after your walk.
