The answer

First start by looking at the foods you have at each meal time. If you're not eating well-balanced meals, you are more likely to feel hungry between meals and reach for fatty and sugary snacks. Two important things you can do is to include a source of protein at each meal and combine with a wholegrain or low GI (slow release) carbohydrate. For example, breakfast could be poached egg on wholegrain toast with some fruit juice, or low fat yogurt with chopped fruit and oat granola. Soups make an excellent choice at lunchtime as the high fluid content also helps to keep you feeling fuller for longer and curbs cravings between meals.
