The answer

Whether your condition will improve once you stop working depends on the diagnosis, or rather what is causing the pains. Some types of joint pain can be made worse after exercise or using the joints, in which case stopping work may ease your symptoms. I suggest you ask your doctor to explain your actual diagnosis and treatment options, in case there are any others medications available to improve your condition.
