I have a lot of pain in both my feet and knees, in the joints. I have had an xray on my knees and they said no treatment needed, I just dont know why they hurt so much?

The answer

There are many possible causes for your symptoms and, without knowing more, such as your age and the daily pattern of your pain, it is hard to narrow it down to any one condition. However, if the X-ray of your joints is normal it may be that you are suffering from an inflammatory joint condition like rheumatoid arthritis or one of the many related causes of joint pain and swelling. My suggestion is that you go back to your GP and ask for blood tests for inflammation and possibly a referral to a rheumatologist (joint specialist).
