The answer

Wearing high heels all day long could certainly cause pain in the toes, due to the extra pressure forced upon them. If the pain starts at the end of the day after wearing high heels and resolves once you have taken the shoes off, then that would be the most obvious cause. High heels can cause a range of persistent problems such as bunions, corns, calluses, misshapen hammertoes and foot pain, so it may be worth limiting your heels to special occasions.
