The answer

Sarcoidosis, as you have probably gathered, is an unusual and incompletely understood condition. You are on the correct treatment for it i.e. steroids, but unfortunately these tend to cause weight gain and fluid retention. Regarding diet, there is no special diet for sarcoidosis but it is even more important for you to eat healthily and not eat too much. The best exercises for muscle mass are repetitions i.e. repeated exercises of each muscle group. Why not ask for a physiotherapy referral?
