The answer

I do not think I can really give you an answer based on the information you have provided. The pain has continued for 5 weeks now, so I think it is now time to make an appointment with your doctor for an examination. I doubt the lump is relevant as it has disappeared but without a detailed history of the pain and examining your arm and hand, I wouldn’t like to guess what it may or not be.
