My wife had a brain cancer tumour removed a week ago. She is getting over the operation slowly but is still quite confused, as she was before the op. Should this be the case. Thank you

The answer

I think one week is too early to tell if the confusion will improve fully following her brain surgery. It is not surprising that she is still confused at this stage. The brain can make improvements after damage from a cancer and an operation, but unfortunately it is not possible to guarantee that this will be the case with your wife. Only time will be able to tell what the full extent of her recovery will be like.
