As we grow older, it is very easy to cut back on physical exercise for all sorts of reasons such as pain and stiffness in our joints, family commitments and so on. The effect on the body is that we slow down, can gain weight and perhaps develop medical problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Equally, if we stop exercising our brains, they may slow down, become muddled, forgetful, confused and we may end up not being able to look after ourselves. The old saying “use it or lose it” is so true when it comes to our brains. If our brains are fit and active our bodies will feel better too.
The following websites are designed to keep your brain active, perhaps learn something new and most importantly, have fun!
