How to make a claim

Please call us on 0800 454 080 before you arrange your treatment, as we’ll need to ask you a few questions first, to check your treatment is covered under your policy.

These are the type of questions you’ll be asked, that will help us to authorise your claim.

  • Have you seen your GP? Treatment should always be under the initial referral of your GP or it could also be a referral from A & E.
  • What are your symptoms? We’ll ask you for some information about the condition or symptoms you’re experiencing. This will include the date you were first aware of the condition or symptoms and whether you have any previous history of this. We may need to clarify this information with your GP or specialist, depending on the type of underwriting on your policy or the condition.
  • What have you been referred for? – We’ll need to ask you for details of the treatment, such as, whether it’s a consultation, or for tests, scans, or physiotherapy.
  • Where are you having your treatment/ investigations? – This is the name of the hospital or facility where you’re planning to have your treatment. Find a hospital near you.
  • Who have you been referred to? – We’ll ask you for the name of the specialist
  • When is your treatment taking place?
  • Have you been given a procedure code? – If you are having any kind of procedure or operation, then this will have its own unique code which your specialist can give you. You can also view a list of procedure codes and fees.
