Ingredients
1 vanilla pod, split and seeds scraped out
1 cinnamon stick
2 litres low-fat milk
300g plain chocolate
1 tsp each of cocoa powder and sugar, to taste
Method
Add the vanilla pod and seeds and cinnamon stick to the milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Turn down the heat, then break the chocolate into pieces and add to the milk. Allow the chocolate to melt, stirring constantly.
Whisk the milk vigorously to give a good froth. Add a little cocoa powder and sugar to taste.
