Submission of claims

In line with our member policies, all eligible claims must be submitted within six months of treatment.

We encourage you to submit your invoices to us electronically. This method provides you with certainty your invoice has reached us and has provided us with all the information we need to process it. Invoices received electronically are processed quicker and you will receive payment sooner.

AXA PPP healthcare is part-owner of Healthcode Ltd, you can register for ePractice manager from the Healthcode website for electronic billing www.healthcode.co.uk

Details of provider

Please ensure the following is billed on appropriately headed paper.

  • Address and telephone / facsimile numbers
  • AXA PPP healthcare provider number

 

Details of patient

  • Name and address including post code
  • Date of birth
  • AXA PPP healthcare membership number

 

Details of treatment

  • Date of treatment specific to each procedure or service provided
  • Procedure or service description
  • CCSD codes (where appropriate)
  • Charge for each service e.g. consultation / procedure
  • Total for all charges

 

Payment

Payment will be made by interval payment as agreed at the time of recognition and in line with company policy. This will be accompanied by a remittance advice which provides a breakdown of the total amount paid, the members it relates to and any shortfalls in payment made e.g. due to excesses on the member policy. A similar remittance advice is also sent to the member advising them of any liability including an invoice to show the amount of any shortfall and to whom this should be paid. Please be aware there may be a delay in the assessment of your invoice if all required paperwork e.g. GP notes or a claim form have not been received by us at the point of invoicing.
